Take the stile opposite Trevereux Cottages and follow the path, turning left
in front of Trevereux with views across the open fields. Cross a stile into
the second field and continue to a stile and footbridge into a wood. Walk
through the wood and a kissing gate leads to a climb up to the end of
Oakdale Lane. Pause for a final view
west before following Oakdale and
Smiths Lane and back to Church Road.
Warnings: Take care crossing and
walking on roads. There may be cattle
grazing opposite Trevereux.
Min and Kev Reynolds first came to
Crockham Hill in 1968 where Kev was

the warden of the Youth Hostel (now
Crockham Hill House). They stayed in Crockham Hill until 2013. Kev
published many walking books, many including local walks. Min has just
been updating Kev9s book 8Walking in Kent9.
