A WALK WITH MIN REYNOLDS (3.7 miles)
Pat Davoll
From Holy Trinity Church, walk
through the wildflower meadow,
through a kissing gate, to the far
corner of the field. Over the
footbridge and upthe next field. Enjoy
the views before and after climbing
Buttles Steps. Walk along Froghole
Lane to Hosey Common Road, cross
the road to the footpath alongside
April Cottage and, at the
next junction, take the
path to the right of the
five-trunked tree. Turn left
at a T-junction to reach
The Warren. Take the path
opposite the garage door
Kent Hatch/Goodley Stock Road Pat Davoll
to Five Ways, with its
striking oak tree. Continue
ahead for about 40 metres, then take the path to the left of a yew tree. At
the next footpath sign, bear left along a footpath onto Kent Hatch Road. It
is worth crossing the road opposite the junction with Goodley Stock Road
to admire the view south.
Walk up the road (towards Limpsfield) and turn left into the driveway of
Greystones; after about 200 metres there is a lovely view to the left. When
the drive turns left, take the footpath to a T-junction and turn left to
descend steeply onto a drive near Scearnbank. Walk to the right to a
footpath sign where you fork left on the Tandridge Border Path. Soon there
is a second left fork, also signed. Just past Grace9s Cottage, take a path
down to a road where you turn left towards Trevereux Manor.
