Rogation Day Ramble
Min Reynolds
After the very changeable weather we've been having, I was absolutely
delighted at the end of Rogation Sunday that we on the ramble were
spared a single drop of the wet stuff. Eleven lovely people joined me as we
strolled across the church meadow
to begin our walk. Great to have
the opportunity to catch up with
folk who I hadn't seen for ages and
to hear them enthusing about the
gorgeous scenery at almost every
turn. Our peaceful lunch spot had
such an amazing view spread over
several miles south and east into
Rambling up Froghole Pat Davoll
the fabulous Kent countryside
almost made it difficult to move on. But we did and ended our walk with a
very welcome cuppa and fantastic array of cakes etc. at the Deanery Road
Orchard Tea Party. Perfect way to end a perfect day, thank you to the
walkers who came with me and the wonderful people at the tea party for
all they did. See you next year, I hope.
Ramblers - what a view! Pat Davoll
From all Ramblers: Many thanks to Min for leading us so well, ensuring that
most of the uphill work was before lunch, and finishing in perfect time for
that well-earned cuppa.
